About the Founder
Matt Brunstein
My passion for motorcycles began as a child after watching a road race at Sears Point. Throughout my youth, I fueled that passion by riding bicycles, playing motocross video games, and saving up in middle school to buy my first real bike. Growing up as a "Lego kid" naturally drove my interest in turning wrenches, and I was soon fixing and modifying my own bikes.
After high school, I pursued a career as a mechanic. Seeking a deeper technical understanding, I began focusing on suspension tuning. Reading Paul Thede’s Race Tech’s Motorcycle Suspension Bible inspired me to take the next step: earning a Mechanical Engineering degree from Sacramento State. I immediately looked for ways to apply my studies to two wheels, which culminated in developing a motorcycle data acquisition system for my senior project.
After graduation, I spent time wrenching at a local shop before transitioning into automotive engineering. I joined Tesla as a factory technician, a role that quickly evolved into a position within the Chassis Dynamics department. There, I helped develop the Model 3 driving experience and gained invaluable insight into production vehicle suspension development.
Following three years at Tesla, I returned to my roots in the two-wheel world. I began mountain biking and transitioned into the cycling industry, spending seven years at SRAM—one of the world's largest OE component suppliers. Now, I am channeling this lifetime of hands-on wrenching, high-level automotive dynamics, and industry experience into my own company. I am excited to continue pushing boundaries in motorcycling, product development, and engineering.
